Collaboration sees two Canadian icons partner to offer affordable, creative and timeless fashion
OTTAWA, Oct. 19, 2018 /CNW/ - Giant Tiger Stores Limited, the leading Canadian discount retailer, has launched an exclusive collaboration with iconic Canadian fashion designer Simon Chang. The fashion-forward collection of women's wear, branded POP, arrives in stores and online November 7th. The new collection features beautiful designer-inspired pieces that aim to bring customers across Canada designer fashions at amazingly affordable prices.
"Simon is an incredibly creative designer and a symbol for Canadian fashion," said Brian Hession, Vice President of Soft Goods and Footwear, Giant Tiger. "We couldn't be happier to collaborate with him on this unique collection that brings together pieces that are on-trend, accessible and, of course, affordable. The Simon Chang POP designer brand is a natural extension of Giant Tiger's fashion evolution, putting style details and fit at the forefront. The collection is universal, timeless and inspired by Simon's continuous efforts to explore new creative horizons. Plans are already underway to have a spring POP collection available in stores by May 2019.
"Giant Tiger caters to the modern Canadian family and this collection aims to be fashionable, wearable and affordable," said Chang, designer of POP. "My favourite part about designing these pieces was adding simplicity in the cut, ensuring beautiful fabrication and built-in wow factors."
The new collection aims to help Giant Tiger customers feel confident and on-trend, regardless of budget.

Giant Tiger has gone through a successful women's wear relaunch over the past three years, with the introduction of Lily Morgan, mySTYLE and ACX exclusive private brands.
POP will be available online and at Giant Tiger stores across Canada.
